Outline/Prospectus:
It will help you organize your thoughts for a critical thinking essay which would have been written using the (Kate Turabian format)-please note you will not be required to write this essay, however, your Research Prospectus/Power Point assignment needs to clearly show and organize all thoughts as if you would write the essay. In this assignment you will need to develop a critical thinking/analytical question (based on any of the material covered in class, ask a ‘how or why type of question’), make sure you are able to find academic sources minimum 2 primary and 3 secondary sources. You will provide a brief response to the question. From the question and brief response you will develop a thesis statement. You will present 3 major points of support and 2 corresponding subsections for your major point of support. (Subsections allow you to enter into greater detail of important information within the major point of support. Sometimes a major point of support cannot go into detail because your argument might go off on a tangent, thus subsections allow you to focus on those points without detracting from your major point of support). Lastly you will develop a conclusion which is the same idea in the thesis statement but restated differently.
