There has been no research published yet that takes a look at gender non-conforming identity as it relates to social anxiety. So, this research is intended to be a starting place for people to reference the individual experiences of gender non-conforming people and social anxiety. A total of 12 participants were used from Chicagos Center on Halsted, all who identified as gender non-conforming, for an analysis on how their gender non-conforming identity relates to their experiences with social anxiety. They were offered an hour long interview consisting of 14 questions. Although subtly different from one another, there was a significant measure of social anxiety that each participant experienced as a result of their gender non-conforming identity.
