In this assignment, you are required to write a college-level essay on a sociological topic of interest. That is, you are allowed to choose your own topic as long as it is addressed from a sociological angle.
Note: Sociological topics focus on social issues, phenomena, and events, and how they shape human interaction, social organization, the social environments humans inhabit, human communities, and societies.
For this critical writing paper, you are expected to write a four-page sociological essay comparing two countries on a particularly sociological issue/phenomenon. The essay should include at least two of the concepts or theories discussed in the class.
Your paper should be 4 pages long (or 1000 words) with at least 4 citations. The paper should be typed in Word, double-spaced, and in font size 12 (either Times New Roman or Calibri). You are required to have a reference page which will not count toward the four pages of the essay.
The sources you use for the paper could be academic journal articles or books.
Finally, you are expected to submit an original essay, as the paper will be run through Turnitin to check for plagiarism. It is, therefore, crucial that you properly cite all sources used in the essay.
