Increasingly funders and organizations are requesting brief virtual or face-to-face presentations of proposals. Sometimes these presentations are similar to the TV Series Shark Tank, but for human services. Sometimes a funder may request a video and your proposal before requesting a more formal presentation.
In this assignment, as if youre presenting your proposal to a decision maker, post a brief video or narrated PowerPoint giving an overview of your Community/Organization project.
The videos dont need to be perfect. The objective is to provide you an opportunity for you to develop the competence needed in your practice as a clinical or macro social worker and to get some feedback from your peers in Discussion 6.
Once you have created your presentation, record yourself delivering the presentation! Articulate each element of your project in the following order:
It is helpful begin your video by telling us who you would be presenting to, for example a supervisor or funder.
Background and significance of the problem
Population and setting (who are you studying and what is the location of the study)
Synthesis and analysis any important literature.
Specific Objectives or SMART goals.
Discuss any measures and how you will evaluate the proposal if implemented.
