This book is related to the theme of the course (language). Write a summary of your reading (book), relating what you have learned throughout the course (through the lectures or the readings) to the reading (book). 
Clearly summarize the book and include the author and their backgrounds. Explain the general idea of the book. 
Within the report, describe the linguistic content of what you have read in your book and then relate it to the course. Please present three topics covered in the book that relate to the course. It’s possible that there will be multiple aspects of Linguistics covered in the book, so you’re free to choose which aspects to cover so long as there are three of them.
Relate what has been learned in the course (through the lectures or the readings) and connect these ideas directly with the book. May also include their own life experiences
There should be at least three major points outlining concepts from the course material (lecture/readings) directly stated as a link to the concepts in the book. 
Each of these concepts is explained adequately enough to show a developing, but critical and informed understanding of the field of linguistics as covered in this course, and that the student understood the concept well enough to make the connection (i.e., the link between the course materials and the book material is accurate and not random.
