One of the tenets of any vision of curriculum and instruction is to provide a concise explanation of the organizations reason for existence that describes the organizations purpose and its overall intention. The mission statement supports the vision and serves to communicate purpose and direction to employees, customers, vendors, and other stakeholders.
For this discussion, review the mission and vision statements of your organization, or use samples found somewhere else (for example, from the weekly readings) if your organization doesnt have these things. Post the vision and mission statements first, and then explain what you find to be practical about the statements and what is lacking.
