So far this term, we have discussed the literary movement of Realism and Naturalism in American literature and some of the main writers in that movement. From the poem We Wear the Mask by Paul Laurence Dunbar, write a short essay with a brief biography of the writer and how the writing reflects realism or naturalism, African American, Native American, or immigrant experience. Be sure to use evidence from the poem to support your points. For the biography, please use the information in your text book or from a reliable source such as the Biography Reference Center or the Literature Resource Center. Do not use Google or Wikipedia.
