Instructions:< Students are required to compare / contrast a theme from any of the three texts studied this semester. (Rita Hayworth and the Shawshank Redemption, Hamlet, Fahrenheit 451, Giant Size X-Men)< Please be aware that your CPT is now worth 30% of your final mark. Please check the rubric for assessment and evaluation.< Some of the THEMES in these works of fiction are: Revenge, Corruption, Religion, Morality, Politics, Women, Appearance vs. Reality, Friendship, Truth vs. Illusion, Psychology, Mythical Transformation, Self-Actualisation, Guilt, Fate/Destiny, Sainthood, Fantasy vs. Reality, Romance vs. Realism, Family. (There are many more you can explore)< PART 1 Check in dates -November 30th, 2021 at the end of class. December 2nd, 2021 at the end of the class< Using three different characters from three different works of fiction, students will show how this theme impacts the characters development or lack of development. Textual evidence must be provided to support your ideas. Students will present their findings using a media source of choice. (Podcast, PowerPoint, etc.) Students must upload their work in google classroom.< ENTIRE CPT DUE- December 9th, 2021 at the end of class.< For the second part of this assignment, you will examine your own personal development and journey towards self- actualization over the last four years. You will illustrate how the chosen theme played an integral part in your journey. You may use ONE specific example to do this. This is part of your podcast or whatever media source you choose to present your findings. You can use the first person.
